Nickname: Not exactly a nickname, but throughout my adult life, I’ve often mistakenly been called Rose, even by people who know me. 

Your idea of happiness: A good book and all day to do nothing but read it. 

Your idea of misery: Dealing with illogical people. 

Food do you refuse to eat: Raw tomatoes, hot peppers.

What local business do you admire? Second Page Used Books. Still a popular business, over 30 years later. 

What’s the best thing about your job? Being the boss!! I can work when I want to, how I want to, wear what I want, take days off when I want. Of course, it’s also the worst thing about the job, when its all your fault, whatever it is. 

When did you find out life isn’t fair: Age seven. 

Worst thing a customer has ever said to you? A customer once called me a “little liar” when I explained I was with another customer and would be right back to help her. 

What was your first job? Other than mowing the neighbours lawns, my first job was at The Corn Dog Factory. Selling yummy deep fried corn dogs and cheese on a stick. 

What’s your drink? Dr. Pepper. 

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A librarian of course! 

Who do you think is overpaid? Most CEOs, politicians and bureaucrats. 

If you could be or do anything else — what? If there is another life after this one, I’d like to be a bookstore cat. 

If you could have dinner with three people living or dead, who would they be? My father and his parents. I didn’t know them but of course would have tons of questions.
